green lanes and by ways

Hi Chris (Newbie) Is there any website or book I can get that explains all the green lanes and by ways in Wales? Shown below is one of the areas we know of Sengenydd Mountain shown in the snow. Thanks Chris

I once bought a couple of books, Discovering Green Lanes ISBN 1-870098-96-X & Land Rover Expiditions where to go offroading in the UK (By LRO) ISBN 1-84425-141-1 form Amazon but I've found (and some will disagree) that membership of Glass is a good asset as there access to their Wayfinder database which gives the location & grid references of all uk lanes and their current status. It also provides Memory Map overlays to install the lanes onto OS maps on your PC.

Theres still no substitute for goin out with someone who has local knowledge & pick up the lanes from them although you still need to check the lane status now and again to ensure they've not been re-classified.

Chris there are loads around our area, most are marked on the landranger series of maps, or some of us go out regular. just keep ypur eyes open and have fun!!!
