when you get your paj there is a few recalls that mitsi have issued such as pitman arm brake pipes throttle body arm ect these will be fixed by mitsi free of charge if your model is affected the easiest way to check is to take your paj to a mitsi dealer and give them the chassis no they will do a check for you more details to follow soon

Hi There

Im new to this 4x4 thing

Ive just got my paj and it is fresh import into the country, Ive been on the mitsubishi site and checked to see if it has had any recalls and it says that none have been done.

So does that mean that even though its an Import that I can still have the recalls done by a uk dealer

Derby Chris Varina did mine without any problems. Even gave me a lift to work, picked me up again and gave it a wash. Mine was a UK Shogun but it was over 5 years out of warantee and they also had a couple of Pajeros in for work at the same time.

Just ring your local mitsi dealer with your chassis number or pop in there and they will be able to check.
The Pitman arm recall was worldwide so they should still replace it free if it needs doing.

they should all do it with no problems, we used to. :D
just to add, there was also a pulley bolt recall on some vehicles(V6 models), it didn't cover many imports though iirc

also there was a dynamic damper recall for L400 (delicas) and some 4m40 engines had a cold start device recall(not sure if imports were affected, not many uk vehicles were)
if i think of any more, ill let you know

Had the Pitman-arm recall done just after I had mine imported by local Mitsu dealer, no probs,.......except that I had to BUY another new one less than 2,500 miles later,..... the upper hole had elongated itself,........to me that smacks of inferior quality material, not what you,d expect from Mitsu

Oh and BTW there was absolutely no wear whatsoever with the original they took off :?

Just took my 2.8 into Poole Car Centre down here for the Pitman arm recall work to be done, no problems, but no clean and wash! :D
