2.5 rad on 2.8

can i put 2.5 rad on my 2.8 paj ?

going from when i built a kit car and had overheating problems killed 3 engines til i worked out it was the rad i would go with a 2.8 into a 2.5 but not the other way round
to make sure measure the size of the rad and the thickness and also check to see how many cores it has in it ( look in through the red cap)
