i had this happen to me on a 2.8td daihatsu engine. i'd brought it with the head gasket gone, fitted a new head gasket and it still chucked water out of the exhaust and ran really rough. i gave up on it then and sold it on
time to look for a new head or get it skimmed if it's not cracked

Agree with everyone else here - that's the head. Been there, done that one with my 2.8. Bad news, but good luck doing whatever you have to with it [smilie=romanjury.g:

If your after a cheap new head, I got one for my 2.5 from API Engines (Google search for telephone number) for just under £300 delivered.
Not sure about for a 3.0 V6 though! :-?:-?

If you have no luck with API as Mark suggests, I got my replacement head from Fils Pajero Parts down near Southampton. Was £230 + vat & delivery, so about the same as his [smilie=upyeah.gif]

I think someone has dropped a great big clanger here, as the first few posts were from 01 04 09 to 06 04 09. So someones a [smilie=dunce.gif], but there you go.

not really!
Thats the idea of these forums Jack, the act as a vault of information to share and pull on aswell as share experiences, wether they are old or new.

Yes I know that Mark, but the post is old and no ones posting about a current fault, that has happened in the last day or two, so cant see the point, is all.

it does not matter how old it is.... when someone like mark comes along and post where you can get a new head from cheep it's good info..
so when someone now has the same problem and they search the forum they will now see where to get one from...
