Hello Everybody, I hope there is some kind soul who has the answer to my problem. I recently had sudden loss of pressure with my brake pedal, and after taking it to my local garage who always services my Paj, they diagnosed a faulty brake master cylinder, and after changing it (at a cost of £340!), the brakes didn't seem that better. Now after another bleed, swapping the servo (no joy), and a telephone call to the local Mitzy dealer, another bleed was attempted with better results. Later the same day, I left for Belgium, and over night, they have become very spongy again. Is there a special way to bleed these things? My local garage attempted to bleed them, finally, with the car at an angle. I have tried to get 2 Mitzy dealers, here in Belgium to bleed them, but took one look at the English plates, and refused to even look at the car!!! After pumping the pedal, I regain pressure, but obviously, I want it sorted properly. My car is a 95 swb with auto and 128000 kms. Please help!!

have you check the seals on the slave cylinders to see if they are leaking, can also try bleeding them with the engine running, might have abs

Thanks for replying, guys. My garage back home checked, and found no leaks, and apparently checked the calipers and they were fine, I had recently changed the drivers side front and checked the other calipers, and they were fine then. I have only to pump the pedal once to get full braking. I have read that it can be a bit of a pig to bleed the system, and is best to bleed the system from the furthest wheel from the master cylinder, then the next one, and so on, will give that a try in the morning, wish me luck! Oh, I forgot to mention, my Paj doesn't have ABS. .

Andrew, are you the owner of the modified red swb Pajero that was in 4x4 mag a month or so ago? If so, that is one smart motor 8)

Have bled the system myself, starting with the further most wheel from the master cylinder, and so on, and the pedal feels miles better, so my trip back to the UK will be a lot less fraught! Did manage to expel some trapped air from the system. Thanks to Andrew and Haribo for your help, hope I can return the compliment someday. :D
