Hi all, i am a noob to the site so go easy with me lol.

I own a 2.5 diesel pajero and i have real trouble starting this baby in the morning, i have just ordered myself some new relays as i was told that this was my problem.

I guy told me a while ago to bypass my relays and basically put a jump lead from my main battery and connect to my buzz to warm the plugs up.

I have done that for a while now and it seems to work, however i have just bought some new relays which i am going to fit today, but i have noticed on my main battery there is a 80amp fuse which has blown. would this cause me further problems and how do i change that because it doesnt seem to want to pull of from the housing.

Also is there another fuse that may have blown to my relays because when i got the relays tested there was no power at all going to them.

I hope some one can help because its driving me nuts.

thanks mate thats brilliant, i will change the fuse today hopefully that will work. are the relays easy to change.

Also when my truck is running, it runs as sweet as a nut its just the starting which is the issue.

Thanks again

Glow plugs are not too expensive - should the relay turn out not to be the issue- good luck with it

hi,a guys,

well i fitted the realys, and the 80 amp fuse that connects to the main battery. once i had done all that jumped in the truck and hey presto it wouldnt start, the battery was as dead as a dow dow.

Process of elimination began, and i am positive i fitted the relays correctly, but when i changed the fuse i removed the bolts completely and put the new fuse in. Is it possible that i have put the 2 wires the wrong way round when i connected it back up ?? because my battery power was fine before, but now after a very short period my battery is being drained instantly.

Would it hurt to change the wires round on that fuse or would it cause me more pain lol.

I could realy do with some help here, as i am not that mechanically minded does any body have a picture or a diagram to how the relays should be seated, because am i right in saying that the blue caps are nearest to the side of the vehicle.

Thanks so much so far, but i need more help.

Thanks

Si
