MILNERS

The bain of my life

on the way to the M O T the alt belt shreded so asked the garage if they would put a new one on , yes they said :D

went to pick the paj up at the end of the day GOOD news it passed
BAD news the crank pully has started to break up :o :(

i said i can get the parts , no probs

phoned milners last fri morn at 8 am asked for the lot pully (single type) bolt , washer , woody key 90 pounds
delivery on Monday

Monday No parts

Tuesday parts turned up :D , but the bolt shears off so they have to drill it out

Wednesday i phoned to see how it was going , mech said a small prob with the cam belt wooy key so might as well replace belt while they are in there :D happy with that
said it should be back together by tonight

TODAY looked at me phone 2 missed calls from garage , phoned and they said the pulley i got looks identical BUT the other pulley that fits inside it wont seat down by about a millimeter

phoned Milners and they said they only suply 2 types of pulley

1 for the single drive belt alternator pulley , and the other for the 2 drive belt alt

SO once again milners have coused me grief with there dodgy parts

after the last alternator i put on was different to the other 6 i said i will never use Milners again THIS has rubber stamped it for me

should have listend to my own advice

Less than 5 months old - has done little mileage - been off-road 3 times and broke on the 3rd occasion

Now I'm wondering if their race stuff is any good

Well. good news is that it's back on the road!!!! and we can go on holiday tomorrow!!!

Bad news is that the garage had to pack the crank shaft pulley out with a load of home made washers, which is what Milners told me the 100 customers a month, who buy the pulley from them, do!

The garage aren't particularly happy with it, but knew we wanted the car back today to pack, so we took the chance! Shit or bust really!

Won't buy Milners again! Their attitude is very blaze and when I said that we regularly have to modify their parts, they just said that is what they get in from abroad!

the garage said that the crank is now worn where the woody key fits , they have locktited the key in to stop it mooving
but it still wobbles

if it goes again BAD i'm sure it will be the end of the paj cos it will be a new crank shaft = engine rebuild = LOADS-A-MONEY

Hi all i had a problem recently with milners i ordered replacement rad cap for my 96 SWB 2.8 4M40 the orig paji cap is an 65 Kpa 0.9 bar pressure type milners sent me a 111.6 Kpa 16 psi i phoned milners to confirm that the cap was the correct type YES THEY THEY SAID so i fitted the cap drove approx 23 miles and overpressurised my cooling system and had my top rad hose blow. i then fitted a MITSUBISHI 0.9 cap from dealers NO further problems. Moral to above ONLY USE original Mitsi Parts.

Me too, although owning a Paj means you don't need too many bits and pieces !

It also means you pay out a small fortune when you need them!
