Hi to all
Could anyone point me in the direction of a guide to replacing the said front seal on my Pajero. I have been reading many posts on the site related to this common problem but have not come across an actual step by step guide. I have a new seal at hand but would like some pointers from someone who has done the job before. TIA

I sent my pump off to diesel specialist, seal was cheap to do after that
Do you need to know how to remove the pump? or replace the seal?

As already stated I have a new seal which my brother sent me from UK but Mr Impatient that I am started the job already. I got the aux battery off and out the way plus the earth lead off the main battery. Got the fan assembly removed and the cowling around the radiator. Got the top rad hose off and out the way. Now looking down from the front to the right of the main block I see power steering pump assmbly and behind that the inj pump itself which I understand has to come fully off to do the job. Underneath all that is the air con compressor which does not have a belt attached and appears seized up hence no air con (another time can't afford compressor at the mo just need to replace seal on pump as wifey uses the Paj to tow horsebox and she has a show coming up)
Any help from that point on would be good as at the moment I can't see how the power steering pump comes away to get to the inj pump that alone anything else further down the road. TIA

Hi I have just done mine I got all the instructions online on the POCUK website, http://www.pocuk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22531, I am sure that the guys on there wouldnt mind me putting the link on, I found it invaluable for the job as long as you get the timing right.
I had been quoted £400 to get the job done and all it cost was 6 hours of my own time and £1.49 for the seal.
By the way Hi to all.

I have the instructions in a pdf file.
Will post them into a new thread called fuel pump instructions for everyones benifit.

Ok, need some help here by those of you that are computer minded.
How do I up load a pdf file to the site so that it still functions?

It's a big pdf file, has all the info for both 2.5 and 2.8 engines. This is everything you'll ever need to know, eg both manuals.!
