HELP NEEDED PLEASE WITH MY PAJERO J REG IMPORT......

I have just Purchased a PAJERO J REG IMPORT

I HAVE A FEW PROBLEMS STARING WITH................


ALL THE CLOCKS WORK ON THE MAIN DASHBOARD OK BUT 1 OF THE 3 CLOCKS TOGETHER IN MIDDLE OF DASH DOESN'T WORK THE OUTSIDE/INSIDE TEMP GAUGE!...THE GUY SAID HE RIPPED IT OUT AS PAIN BY HIS KNEE HOW DO I GO AROUND PUTTING IT BACK IN HE SAID NEEDS SOLDERING!

THE HEADLIGHT WASHERS DOESN'T WORK! WHATS NORMALLY THE REASON BAR THE HOLES BEING BLOCKED"...LOL

THE REAR BRAKE LIGHT DONT WORK IN SPOILER! DOES THE RED PLASTIC POP OFF OR NOT HOW DO I CHECK BULBS?

HE SIAD WTER LEAKS NOW AND THEN THROU SUNROOF!



I ALSO NEED A FEW PARTS FOR IT IF ANYBODY HAS THESE OR KNOW CHEAPEST PLACE WHERE TO GET THEM!.......

I AM AFTER........

N/S FRONT BUMPER CAP IN SILVER WOULD BE GREAT BUT ANY COLOUR WOULD DO AS LONG AS ITS IN GOOD CONDITION NO CRACKS E.T.C

ALSO NEED THE PLASTIC STRIP ON TOP OF THE WINDSCREEN NEAR THE ROOF HAS TO BE IN BLACK! AS MINE PAINT FLAKING AND I AM FUSSY FUSSY.....HE HE

DESPERATE FOR FRONT FOGS IN YELLOW!

AFTER REAR SEATS OR MAYBE ALL SEATS FOR SWB WOULD LIKE LEATHER WITH DOOR CARDS!

Cant help with the clock bit.

Headlamp washers= knackered pump, its very common, probably rusted up. How to fix headlamp washers (http://www.4x4wire.com/mitsubishi/tech/headlight_washer/)

Rear brake light in spoiler, probably not wired in. Mine isnt.

You could try smearing vaseline on the sunroof rubbers or try to get replacements from a breaker.

Good breaker to try for all the other bits and bobs GT4X4 (http://www.gtfourxfour.com/)

Thanks very much for your Reply very much appreciated.

Right I have starting Fixing the things that needed fixing............

I have taken Sunroof out and checked and clean and made sure all drainage holes ok, But Guess what!..........

After me doing all this as the guy said when I picked it up I have just noticed water in compartment down by handbrake!

It wasn't Bloody water......lol..........It was Sticky something his missis using tipped and she didn't clean it up...he he

I have also changed the Trim on top of the Windscreen as mine was starting to flake paint off...and I am fussy...lol

I have also taken door cards off and repaired and put New covers over door pin.




What I would like Help with is I have seen a Post and Some Guy said he Did Pajero Electric Aerial out without stripping wing e.t.c by just undoing round cap and pressing aerial on and off e.t.c

Can somebody post Pics on how to do this or a BETTER STEP BY STEP TO DO IT?

Its not a difficult job to do, although not done it myself. It comes down to brute force and ignorance :lol:

Remove the round thingummy bob from the top of the arial on the wing, next get someone to turn on the radio while you tug on the mast. As it comes up keep pulling gently and the mast will come out of the housing.
It should have a length of serrated plastic attatched to the bottom of it.
Once out and the motor has stopped, feed the new plastic section of the mast ito the housing, get someone to turn the radio off and guide the new mast into the housing. Once seated the round thingummy bob can be replaced and bobs your uncle and fannies your aunt, job done till you break it again :lol:

I have taken Mast out of Aerial but no Cord e.t.c came out just Metal Aerial??

Will the New Aerial work now and how do U get the Aerial Cable to catch?

Ha, now that I dont know mate. Just read how to do it, never done it meself :? But Im sure someone has on here. Most of the time peeps break the mast and not the plastic windy bit and the plastic bit comes out with the remainder of the mast.

I was going to Buy 2nd Hand Aerial of a Guy but he told me its one hell of a Job Changing them he took Dash Half out to do it?

I dont want to goto this extreme can anybody tell me EXACTLY WHAT IT REQUIRES IF I CHANGE COMPLETE AERIAL AND MOTOR!

Can you see any of the plastic bit at all, if you can you may be able to get a pair of long nosed pliers in to grip it and pull while someone does the radio on and offy bit.

Hi Iceman,
I have just fixed the Problem with my Electric Aerial and what a Job it Was!

I didn't want to pay £200 Trade for a Electric Aerial but if I bought 2nd Hand one that might play up too! But biggest problem is you have to run the aerial wire through the dash e.t.c as Sealed Unit the Electric Aerial.

I took the Old Aerial Motor Off and stripped it and Took the Broken pieces of plastic out that was jammed and fitted new Mast and .........FINGERS CROSSED......PERFECT!

That was big weight off my mind as I didn't really want to Pay £200 but I am a Real Fussy Bugger! But worse of all thread new aerial wire e.t.c through dash.
